UP 7228 leads a westbound manifest on the Marysville sub & will be continuing west on the Kearney sub at Gibbon Jct. in approximately a quarter mile.
A Herzog ballast train exits Tunnel 11 as it heads north along the Shasta Route. Between Lakehead and Dunsmuir, the route follows the Upper Sacramento River. Make sure you bring a fishing pole!
